Optimum TV and internet package details. Bundle savings – $34.99/mo.or more depending on the package you choose. Optimum bundle savings appear higher than most but are somewhat inflated as their standalone TV packages are higher-priced than many other cable TV providers. Special offer – Free install. Consider bundling your broadband with a no-calls phone package, which could lower the cost. Do you want a subscription digital TV package such as Sky or Virgin, or is Freeview sufficient? A bundled TV package is likely to offer you an attractive range of entertainment options, but there are cheaper – or free – alternatives.

Are there really no setup costs?
Currently there are no setup costs when you order here online and as previously outlined – apart from the cost of the secure delivery of your Sky Q WIFI router. This one-off cost of £9.95 is for tracked and signed for delivery to ensure you receive your router safely. Your free activation saving up of £50.00 is automatically applied when you order. This offer removes the next best offer price on the main Sky site for Broadband, which is currently £19.95. The only other exception in relation to costs is if you need a new landline installing. Most customers switching will already have an active landline – and Sky does not charge you to switch your line to them. However, if you are a cable customer, you may not have an active line at your home. The good news is that Sky are one of the cheapest providers when needing a new line installed, you can get a new line for just £20.
How do I know if I need a new line installing?
You simply run the availability check on your home with Sky and the system will inform you if you need a new line ‘before’ you checkout.
Why do I need a landline?
Nearly all providers in the UK run their broadband services on the OpenReach network. This is the traditional fixed line network which also handles fibre speeds up to around 80mb. Crucially, the final journey of this signal travels from your nearest telephone exchange via a fixed landline. Hence the need for a line for Sky Broadband.

Do I need to contact my current provider to switch?
If you are with TalkTalk, Plusnet, EE Home Broadband, Post Office Broadband or BT Broadband – then Sky will contact your provider and handle to whole switch. If you are a Virgin Media customer, order your Sky Broadband service and then contact Virgin to inform them of your activation date. This minimises downtime while giving your one month notice they require.
Can I add inclusive landline calls?
Yes. While the default call plan is pay-as-you-go, Sky offer three additional call plans:
- Sky Talk Evenings & Weekend Extra = £5 a month
- Sky Talk Anytime Extra = £12 a month
- Sky Talk International Extra £14 a month
Sky Talk call plans can be added to your Sky basket after you have selected your broadband service.
